Twenty years ago, First Tee – Greater Pasadena set out with a simple yet powerful mission: to equip young people with the tools to succeed in golf, and in life. Over the past two decades, what began as a local program has grown into a trusted community resource, shaping young lives across Pasadena and the greater San Gabriel Valley.

Through The First Tee Life Skills Experience™ curriculum, our trained coaches use the game of golf to teach essential life skills, helping youth problem-solve, manage emotions, work well with others, and build healthy relationships at home, school, and in their communities. We proudly offer inclusive programs for children of all abilities ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.

At the heart of it all are our nine core values: honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy, and judgment. These values guide participants both on and off the course, empowering them to make healthy choices, graduate high school on time, and become positive forces in their communities.
