Case for Support of our Junior Golf & Character Education Programs
Want to make a difference in the lives of young people in the greater Pasadena area? There are many ways you can support the mission of First Tee – Greater Pasadena and help us introduce the game of golf and its inherent values like honesty, respect and confidence, to kids and teens.
Nine Reasons to Invest in Our Youth
|Over 40 mentors coached more than 5,000 registered youth in our Life Skills Classes
|Over 70,000 youth experienced our Life Skills Curriculum at their schools since 2008 through our School Program (formerly DRIVE Program) and Community Program (formerly NSP).
|Class fees for all youth are just $130 as greater than 50% of costs are covered by donations.
|Class fees are waived for over 25% of our participants who are from low-income families or who participate in our chapter’s Mulligan and Adaptive Programs that service at-risk youth and youth with special needs.
|Our youth clearly demonstrate Respect for themselves, others and their surroundings.
|Over 750 registered participants were recognized as A/B Honor Roll Students by First Tee home office since 2014.
|Annandale Country Club, Glendora Country Club, Oakmont Country Club and San Gabriel Country Club have provided mentor events for participants at our chapter.
|Families report better behavior from their children at home and school because of our classes.
|Our youth exercise often and learn a healthy life style — physical, emotional and social — from us.
