Want to make a difference in the lives of young people in the greater Pasadena area? There are many ways you can support the mission of First Tee - Greater Pasadena and help us introduce the game of golf and its inherent values like honesty, respect and confidence, to kids and teens.Nine Reasons to Invest in Our Youth
1. | MENTORING | Over 35 mentors coached more than 4,000 registered youth in our Life Skills Classes |
2. | OUTREACH | Over 64,000 youth experienced our Life Skills Curriculum at their schools since 2008 through our School Program (formerly DRIVE Program) and Community Program (formerly NSP). |
3. | AFFORDABILITY | Class fees for all youth are just $85-$95 as greater than 50% of costs are covered by donations. |
4. | ASSISTANCE | Class fees are waived for over 25% of our participants who are from low-income families or who participate in our chapter’s Mulligan and Adaptive Programs that service at-risk youth and youth with special needs. |
5. | RESPECT | Our youth clearly demonstrate Respect for themselves, others and their surroundings. |
6. | EDUCATION | Over 600 registered participants were recognized as A/B Honor Roll Students by First Tee home office since 2014. |
7. | ACCESS | Annandale Country Club, Glendora Country Club, Oakmont Country Club and San Gabriel Country Club have provided mentor events for participants at our chapter. |
8. | CHARACTER | Families report better behavior from their children at home and school because of our classes. |
9. | HEALTH | Our youth exercise often and learn a healthy life style -- physical, emotional and social -- from us. |
