If bad weather occurs, we will notify the parent/guardian via text message with the main contact cell number used for registration. The decision to cancel classes will be made 2 hours before the start of the class. All classes that are cancelled by the chapter will be made up at the end of the seasonal session. If your child/children cannot attend a scheduled class, please see below for our Make-Up Policy.

Weather Updates & Class Cancellations for Fall 2026

  • Saturday, October 31st: All Life Skills Education classes have been cancelled due to Halloween. The make-up classes will be held on Saturday, November 7th.
  • Wednesday, September 9th: All Wednesday classes at Mountain Meadows, Alhambra, and Arroyo Seco will be cancelled due to the extreme heat. The makeup class will be held on Wednesday, November 4th.
  • Thursday, September 10th: All Thursday classes at Arroyo Seco will be cancelled due to the extreme heat. The makeup class will be held on Thursday, November 5th.
  • Friday, October 2nd: All Friday classes at Santa Anita will be cancelled due to the high heat index temperatures. The makeup classes will be held on Friday, November 6th.
  • Saturday, October 3rd: All Saturday classes at Eaton Canyon will be cancelled due to the high heat index temperatures. The makeup classes will be held on Saturday, November 14th.
  • Sunday, October 4th: All Sunday classes at Brookside and Eaton Canyon will be cancelled due to the high heat index temperatures. The makeup classes will be held on Sunday, November 8th.

Make-Up Policy

Eligibility for Make-Up Classes

  • Make-up classes are available exclusively during weeks 3 through 8 of the program.

Approval Process

  • All make-up classes require prior approval from Dan Hufford before attendance. Dan will present a list of available classes; after you make your selection, he will notify the appropriate coach about the change. Please note that if a class has reached capacity, make-ups will not be permitted.

Attendance Procedures

  • When you arrive, please introduce your child to the coach so they can be properly welcomed to the class. Drop-offs without introductions are not allowed.
